This is a race between homemade postcards & professionally printed cards.

All of the cards are similar in size & thickness. They were all dropped into the mailbox at the same time. The process of postage & delivery becomes part of the art itself. We’ll see how many arrive at their addressed destinations in whatever condition!

While shopping for a printer, I’m starting mailers with a postcard instead of the eight-page stories. Unlike the little booklets I’ve sent out in the past, there will only be one image & with fewer words.

Journaling

My Great Grandmother journaled every day. On the days that she was unable to write due to poor health, she dictated simple lines to my Great Grandfather. At times when Granny was in the hospital or unable to dictate a few lines, she left it up to Gramps to make a note like, “Visited Anna in hospital. Rained late p.m.” He wrote little more than that, but kept the days filled in.
